VinFast VF7 EV Launched in India at ₹20.89 Lakh: Bold Design, 532 km Range & Premium Features

VinFast India has launched its fully electric SUV, the ‘VinFast VF7,’ in India at an introductory price of ₹ 20.89 lakhs (ex-showroom). The company will compete with the local giants Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors. The entry of VinFast in India’s EV segment marks its debut.

A Vietnamese automaker has entered India’s EV market by launching two models back-to-back. VinFast India Limited has introduced its fully electric SUV car, the ‘VinFast VF7.’ Recently VinFast marked an entry in India’s EV segment through its recently launched VF6 model, and within a day it launched its second EV, the VF7, in India. The VF7 was first introduced in Jan 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo (Auto Expo 2025) in New Delhi.

The company launched the VF7 on September 6, 2025, at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The VinFast VF7 offers 5 varients including Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity. Here are its functions, prices, and battery life.

VinFast VF7 price in India

The price range for VF7 starts from 20.89 lakhs and goes up to 25.49 lakhs. The VF7 Earth variant is priced at 20.89 lakhs, the VF7 Wind at 23.49 lakhs, the VF7 Wind Infinity at 23.99 lakhs, the VF7 Sky at 24.99 lakhs, and the VF7 Sky Infinity at 25.49 lakhs.

The bookings for all variants have been opened from July 2025. It has signed agreements with 13 dealer groups to establish 32 dealerships across 27 cities.

VinFast VF7 battery and power performance

VF7 offers two battery pack options: 59.6 kWh and 70.8 kWh. The VF7 Earth variant comes with a 59.6 kWh battery that produces 176 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The VF7 Wind variant has a 70.8 kWh battery, which produces 203 PS of power and 310 Nm of torque. The Sky infinity variant offers a dual-motor setup, which is AWD and produces 203 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque.

The VF7 Earth variant offers a 380 km range, the VF7 Wind has a 532 km range, and the VF7 Sky variant offers a 510 km long range. All variants support fast charging. The VF7 Earth variant supports fast charging, allowing 10 – 70% in just 24 minutes. The wind FWD variant can sprint 0-200 kmph in 9.5 seconds, while the sky AWD variant can sprint 0-100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds.

Inside the car a dual-tone finish offers a premium experience. The cabin is futuristic and aviation-inspired. It has a brown-black color scheme with soft-touch wagon leather on the dashboard and doors. The D-cut steering wheel increases its premiumness.

The VinFast VF7 stands out with its bold and modern aerodynamic design along with modern lighting. The V-shaped LED DRL headlights and hidden handles make it look better and more sporty.

Its interior setup includes a 12.9-inch head-up touchscreen infotainment display serving as the central driver’s cluster. Its ambient lighting creates a calm feeling inside the car. An 8-speaker audio system adds an immersive sound experience inside the car.

The VF7 wind infinity and sky infinity variants have a panoramic fixed glass roof, various drive modes, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions.

In terms of safety features, it has 7 airbags and level 2 ADAS functions. Its additional functions include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, traffic sign detection, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, ABS with EBD, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rain-sensing wipers, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a 360-degree camera overview.

It offers 6 monotone exterior color options, including Jet Black, Desat Silver, Infinity Blanc, Crimson Red, Zenith Grey, and Urban Mint. The VinFast company offers free charging for all models till July 2028 at VGreens charging stations and free maintenance for 3 years. With the launch of VinFast VF7 in India, the company aimed to establish and grow India’s EV market.
