Ladki Bahin Yojana July installment: The eligible beneficiary will get July installment before Raksha Bandhan, as confirmed by state minister of women and child development Aditi Tatkare. The government has found multiple fraud cases across the scheme. The action is undergoing and further inspection will be made by the government.
Mukhymantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is a state scheme offered by the Maharashtra government, under the ministry of women and child development. The scheme was launched on June 28, 2024 by Mahayuti Sarkar. The scheme provides monthly financial assistance of ₹ 1500 to women aged 21 – 65 via direct benefit transfer DBT. The Ladki Bahin Yojana was aimed at empowering economically weaker women in the state through monthly support of ₹ 1500 payment.
Initially the number of beneficiaries was 2.63 crore under the scheme. By February 2025 and May 2025 it dropped around 2.47 crore, after post scrutiny and removal of ineligible beneficiaries. In June 2025 around 2.25 crore eligible women received their 1500, benefit of scheme. The 26.3 lakh ineligible beneficiaries found in the inspection and their accounts have been disabled.
Ladki Bahin Yojana installment date
For July 2025 it’s 13th installment under the scheme. The eligible women will receive Ladki Bahin Yojana’s July installment on August 8,2025 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. In the social media post on X, the state minister Aditi Tatkare announced the date of fund disbursement.
“Raksha Bandhan gift for sisters! Under the guidance of Hon’ble chief minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, deputy chief minister Mr. Eknath Shinde and deputy chief minister Ajit Dada Pawar, the July instalment of ₹ 1500 under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, will be disbursed to all eligible beneficiaries on the eve of Raksha Bandhan.
On the eve of Raksha Bandhan the honorarium amount will be directly transferred into the bank accounts of eligible sisters,” said minister Aditi Tatkare in the social media post on X.

The Maharashtra government has suspended 26.34 lakh beneficiaries for the scheme after a deep inspection by the respective department. In the statement by Aditi Tatkare the woman and child development department had sought data from all state departments to verify the eligibility of beneficiaries under the scheme.
In the inspection 14,298 men had availed benefits under the scheme with fake documents. Responding to the fraud cases deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar said, that the state government would recover the amount disbursed to these individuals and would take strong action if they do not cooperate.
