The Sensex gained 57 points, or 0.072%, to close at 80597, while the Nifty climbed 11 points, or 0.049%, to settle at 24631.
122 stocks hit their 52-week high on Thursday, including Anupam Rasayan India, Apollo Hospitals Delhivery Limited, Eternal Limited, Fortis Healthcare, HBL Engineering, Hyundai Motor India, Mahindra and Mahindra, Vishal Mega Mart, and TVS Motor Company. In contrast, 106 stocks reached their 52-week lows, including Beta India, Lifescience Limited, Colgate-Palmolive (India), and Jindal Saw.
Wipro climbed 2.01% after its talks about Harman Limited. Wipro Technologies and private equity firm Warburg Pincus are in advanced talks to buy Harman’s India business of digital transformation solutions (DTS) at an expected valuation of $500 million, reported by the Economic Times on 14 August 2025.
