VinFast Auto India has launched its electric vehicle VF6 in India at an introductory price of ₹ 16.49 lakhs. It offers 3 basic variants: Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity. The company will compete in India’s EV market with Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Maruti Suzuki.
A Vietnamese EV automaker has marked its entry into India’s EV segment by launching its fully electric SUV, the ‘VinFast VF6,’ the first launch of VinFast. The company has created a big impact in Vietnam and is now seeking to expand its business globally. It is aimed at making India as its lighting hub for Asia.
The vehicle was officially launched on 6th September 2025 at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. It was first unveiled in Jan 2025 at Bharat Mobility Global Expo (Auto Expo 2025) in New Delhi. The VinFast VF6 offers three variants: Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity. Here is its price, range, features, battery, and much more.
VinFast VF6 Price in India
The price for the VF6 starts at ₹ 16.49 lakhs. The basic intro variant Earth is priced at ₹ 16.49 lakhs, the mid variant Wind is priced at ₹ 17.79 lakhs, and the top variant Wind Infinity is priced at ₹ 18.29 lakhs (all prices are ex-showroom).
The bookings for all variants have been opened from July 2025. The company has signed agreements with 13 dealer groups to establish 32 dealerships across 27 cities. It has opened its first showroom in Tamil Nadu. The online bookings are also opened through its official website.
VinFast VF6 Battery and Power Performance
The VinFast VF6 has a single battery pack option of a 59.6 kWh battery. All its variants are front-wheel drive (FWD). The Earth variant produces 130 KW of power and 250 Nm of torque, the Wind variant produces 150 KW of power and 310 Nm of torque, while the top variant, Wind Infinity, produces 201 bhp of power and 310 Nm of torque.
VinFast VF6 Range and Top Speed
The VF6 Earth variant offers a 468 km range, the Wind variant offers a 463 km range, and the Wind Infinity offers a 468 km long range on a single charge, according to ARAI. Both variants support 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC and DC fast charging, which allows 10% to 70% in 25 minutes.
Estimated top speeds of the vehicle are expected to be about 175 kmph, which will be electronically limited. The Wind variant can sprint 0-100 kmph in just 8.9 seconds.
VinFast VF6 Design
The overall design of the VinFast VF6 is crafted by Torino Design with a Pininfarina that offers a blend of Italian flair and contemporary minimalism. The driver-focused cabin features a dual-tone wagon leather upholstery dashboard, and the soft-touch finishes, ventilated seats, and flat-bottomed steering wheel create a more premium experience.
It has featured muscular body panels and a sleek silhouette that is comfortable for urban uses. The signature V-shaped LED DRLs are stretched across different fascias.
The VinFast VF6 Features
Its interior setup includes a 12.9-inch head-up (HUD) digital infotainment display, which serves as a primary driver’s cluster. The Plus variant offers 64-color ambient lighting to set the mood inside the cabin. The Earth variant has a 6-speaker audio system, and the Wind and Wind Infinity have 8-speaker audio systems.
It has a panoramic glass roof and 18-inch alloy wheels. Its additional features include multiple drive modes, keyless entry, push-button start, dual-zone AC, air purifier, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto functions.
In terms of safety features, it offers 7 airbags and Level-2 ADAS functions. Its additional features are lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), all disc brakes, rain-sensing wipers, and a 360-degree camera overview.
The VinFast VF6 is available in 6 colors: Jet Black, Infinity Blanc, Desat Silver, Crimson Red, Zenith Grey, and Urban Mint. The VinFast company offers free charging for all models till July 2028 at V greens charging stations and free maintenance for 3 years.
