Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara was unveiled in June 2025 at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This electric vehicle is the most awaited model in the country. The price of the car is expected to lie between ₹ 18-21 lakhs. The car can travel up to 344 km with a 49 kWh battery pack and 426 km with a 61 kWh battery pack option. The model will include an AWD variant.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited unveiled its 2025 SUV, an all-electric ‘E-Vitara.’ It’s the first electric model of the Maruti Suzuki. The EV is expected to hold the top position in the electric vehicle segment, competing against the Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra BE6, MG ZS EV, and others. Maruti Suzuki is the largest car manufacturer in India and is known for its best cars, like the Brezza, Ertiga, and Swift.

The expected price of an e-Vitara in India lies between ₹ 18-21 lakhs. The bookings will be opened from September 2025, from its launch date. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is set to launch on 3rd September, 2025.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara battery and power performance
The e-Vitara will offer two motor setups depending on the variant. The FWD variant will offer a single motor setup mounted on the front axle. The 49 kWh battery will produce 144 bhp of power and 192 Nm of torque, and the 61 kWh battery will produce 172 bhp of power and 192 Nm of torque.
Its second AWD variant will offer a dual-motor setup, one motor for each axle. It will use a 61 kWh battery pack and will produce 184 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara range and top speed
The e-Vitara has a top speed of around 160 kmph for both FWD and AWD variants, which is electronically limited. It will offer a range of around 49 kWh battery FWD variant 344 km, 61 kWh FWD variant 470 km, and 61 kWh AWD variant 426 km. All figures are based on the WLTPC (worldwide harmonized light vehicle test procedure).
It will support a 7 kW charger that allows a 49 kWh battery pack to charge in 6.5 hours and a 61 kWh battery in 9 hours, from 10% to 100%. An 80 kW DC fast charger allows a 49 kWh battery 0-100% in 35 minutes and a 61 kWh battery 0-100% in 45 minutes.

Inside the car there will be two digital displays: a 10.25-inch digital instrument driver display and a 10.1-inch digital infotainment touchscreen display. The electric SUV will offer a bold interior with brown and black hues. A premium leatherette upholstery will look more premium with a new two-spoke steering wheel.

The exterior design is likely to remain the same as its ICE model. In the front, the closure of EV grills is flanked by 3-point matrix LED DRLs integrated into sleek headlamps, and the 18-inch alloy wheels adds a premium look.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara features
Its interior setup includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions. Another 10.25-inch digital driver’s display shows vehicle data such as range, battery status, and energy flow. The 6-speaker Arkamys 3D sound system is expected inside the car.
In terms of safety features, it includes a 10-way driver’s seat adjust, 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera overview, a wireless charging pad, keyless entry and exit, 65 ambient lighting, Level-2 ADAS functions, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill start assist, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, and ISOFIX child seat.
The launch is scheduled for September 3, 2025. This car marks an entry of Maruti Suzuki into India’s EV segment. The car will offer 10 exterior color choices. Arctic White, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver with Bluish Black Roof, Grandeur Grey, Land Breeze Green with Bluish Black Roof, Bluish Black, Arctic White Pearl with Bluish Black Pearl, Nexa Blue, Splendid Silver, and Opulent Red with Bluish Black Roof.
