The Kia Carens Clavis EV, an all electric MPV car is now available in India at a starting price of ₹ 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The bookings have been opened from July 22, 2025. The Kia Carens Clavis was launched on July 15, 2025. It has a 4 models with two battery options available in four variants. There are two powertrain options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The 42 kWh battery offers a range of 390 km while 51.4 offers a range of 473 km.
Kia motor India has launched its affordable, all electric MPV car ‘Kia Carens Clavis.’ The car has an i- pedal system and a regenerative braking system. The car can sprint 0 – 100 kmph in 8.4 seconds. It’s the first made in India 7 seater electric vehicle. The intelligent technology, exceptional values, premium interior and exterior makes this EV a benchmark in India’s EV segment.
Kia Carens Clavis EV price in India
The Kia Carens Clavis EV is now available for booking in India at an introductory price of 17.99 lakhs(ex-showroom). The prices are based on the variants includes, HTK plus with 42 kWh battery started at price of ₹ 17.99 lakh, HTX 42 kWh at a price of ₹ 20.49 lakh, HTX ER with 51.4 kWh battery started at a price of ₹ 22.49 lakh and HTX Plus ER 51.4 kWh battery top variant at a price of ₹ 24.49 (all ex-showroom prices).
The bookings have been opened from 22 July 2025 with a token amount of ₹ 25000 through authorised dealerships and via the company’s official website
Kia Carens Clavis EV battery and power
The Carens Clavis offers a single motor setup with front wheel drive (FWD). The EV has two battery pack options with specified variants. It offers 42 kWh battery pack for HTK Plus and its HTX variant, while 51.4 kWh battery pack for HTX ER and HTX Plus ER. The 42 kWh battery pack version produces 135 PS of power and 255 Nm of torque while the 51.4 kWh battery version produces 171 PS of power and 255 Nm of torque.
Kia Carens Clavis range and top speed
The Kia Carens Clavis EV has a top speed of 160 kmph. The 51.4 k battery variant can sprint 0 – 100 kmph in 8.4 seconds. The 42 kWh battery variant offers a range of 404 km while the 51.4 kWh offers a 490 km range on a single full charge as per MIDC standards. It supports 100 kWh DC fast charging allowing 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. An 11 kWh AC charger takes 4 hours 45 minutes for a full charge to 51.4 kWh battery pack.
Kia Carens Clavis EV design
The Carens Clavis EV has a premium black and white cabin theme inside the car. It has a 26.62 inch dual panoramic display, which includes a 12.3 inch digital driver display and 12.3 inch HD touchscreen infotainment digital display. A floating type centre console replaces that traditional gear shifter area. It is designed for 7 seat capacity. It has a two spoke flat bottom leather wrapped steering wheel with cruise control, audio and media, voice assistant activation, drive mode toggle features etc.
In terms of exterior design the model looks similar to its ICE sibling. A full width LED light bar, LED DRL’s headlights, rear connected LED taillight setup makes it look better. 16 inch steel wheels come with the basic variant HTK, while 17 inch dual tone aero-optimised alloy wheels on remaining variants adds a premium look.
Kia Carens Clavis EV features
The Carens Clavis EV interior setup includes 12.3 inch dual panoramic integrated digital displays, wireless Apple carplay and Android auto connectivity, voice command assistant, electric parking brake with auto hold, wireless phone charger, dual zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents and air purifier.
A BOSE audio system insurance reach and immersive sound experience with 64 ambient lighting colours. The EV has a panoramic sunroof and V2L support.
In terms of safety features it includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBA, electronic stability control ( ESC), speed sensing door lock, ISOFIX child seat, Level 2 ADAS, 360 degree camera, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
The Kia Carens Clavis EV offers six colour options : Glacier White Pearl, Pewter Olive, Aurora Black Pearl, Imperial Blue, Ivory Silver Matte, and Gravity Gray. These colours are offered for all four variants,
HTK Plus, HTX, HTX ER and HTX Plus ER.
